SINGAPORE

Day in Singapore

The purpose of this article is to make your life easy. How to plan one day in Singapore. More specific, how to spend 8 hours in this city. Here are some tips.

1. Start at One Fullerton Hotel, which is considered a luxury five-star hotel. It lies at the mouth of the Singapore River and is a great starting point to explore this small country.

2. Merlion Park is nearby. Merlion is a mythical creature with the lion’s head and fish body used as the national personification of Singapore. Stop here quickly. From here you can take a picture of their Esplanade Theaters on The Bay. It is an art center consisting of a concert hall and a theater. The exterior of the building is worth a visit, and the interior can be seen when buying tickets for a show or concert.

3. We continue our journey along the Marina Reservoir. You could also say Marina Bay Sands. A walk along the promenade is perfect for some beautiful pictures. The journey from one side to the other takes about 45 minutes, so you could say a good 2 kilometers.

4. Highlights along the way: The Fullerton Pavilion, Clifford Pier, Customs House, Crystal Pavilion South and Event Plaza. The Promonotory @ Marina Bay is a “veranda” where you can stop and relax on the nearby benches. All I have listed are “sights” that you can see from the outside or from a vantage point.

5. At Event Plaza you can watch the Spectro – A Light & Water Show. At 8pm and 9pm during the week and 8pm, 9pm and 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s a free, outdoor, extravagant show over the water. 15-minute show with light, water and music effects.

6. From here you can choose from many attractions. In the northern part, you can see rotating observation wheel – Singapore Flyer. Near Event Plaza you can visit the ArtScience Museum. This is that flower-shaped building. You can also visit The Shoppes At Marina Bay Sands. Here you can see the water canals and the waterfall and take a ride on a wooden boat. In the southern part, you can visit the Red Dot Design Museum, a boutique museum.

7. Next attraction is Marina Bay Sands. Complex with famous hotel. Three sloping towers carrying a nave at the top. There is an iconic Infinity pool. Entry is only possible if you are a hotel guest. Alternatively, head to the Sands SkyPark observation deck (there is fee, of course) and see the 360 ° panoramic view of Singapore from the top.

8. From here you can walk to the Gardens by The Bay. It is a nature park on 100 acres in the central Singapore. You can take several hours in the park. Flower Dome, where you enter the world of eternal spring and where unique plants bloom. Cloud Forest, where you step into the highland kingdom. Golden Garden, where you can see three “trees” in golden lights.

9. Supertree Observatory and Supertree Grove. Here is also a group of eleven “trees” surrounded by greenery and light. You can go on a path Skyway that connects the two of them. Or climb to a vantage point located on the canopy of the tallest super tree. Must here is the Garden Rhapsody Show. A show where vertical trees come to life. Lightning and musical fantasy. Every day at 19.45 and 20.45.

10. Satay by the Bay is nearby. Cheaper (because everything is expensive in Singapore) and traditional Asian food. If you want good and cheap food, this is the right address.

11. If you have time go to Orchard Road. Every consumer dream street. From luxury retail offerings to top international cuisines. The street is 2.2 kilometers long and is an important tourist attraction.

And this is my 8 hours long tour of Singapore. There may be a lot of sights on the list, but they are all worth a visit. If you don’t have time, choose the ones that will be first imprinted in your memory. The first feeling is the best feeling
